Easy and handy tool for preparation of densified feed rods for floating zone crystal growth

As an alternative or supplement to our Cold Isostatic Press, we offer this small, handy device for producing compacted rectangular rods from sample powder. Add the powder to the cavity, screw the lid on evenly and tightly with two screws - and you have a compacted rod that you can treat in the sintering furnace and use as a feed rod for the next floating zone crystal growth.
